Parents/Caregivers

Project SEARCH is successful because of the partnership between the school board, the host business site, employment service provider and parents/caregivers. Each have an important role to play to ensure the success of each Intern.

Families/caregivers commit to: 

• Supporting the Intern​ 
• Reinforcing skills, training at home​ 
• Supporting independent travel of their young person to and from the worksite (transportation is not provided)​ 
• Regular employability meetings and contact with teacher​ 
• Supporting Interns’ skill development and pursuit of employment​
